Cayenne Chilli is a hot variety that produce fruit in a range of colours. Chilis can grow up to 7cm long with a pointed tip. Depending on the variety, the fruit can be thick or thin. Cayenne chilli plants grow quickly and produce a high-yield. Cayenne Chilli sits between 30,000 and 50,000 Schoville Heat Units (SHU).

Capsicum annuum | 10 seeds per packet

Start in seed trays in a protected area (indoors or inside a greenhouse) or sow direct in garden beds or pots. Cayenne Chilli is best sown when the temperatures are consistently above 25°C*. Sow seeds 4mm deep. Keep soil moist. Transplant seedlings out when they have reached 10cm high after the last frost. Leave 40 to 60cm between transplanted seedlings or seeds, and approximately 80 to 100cm between rows of Cayenne Chilli. Germination occurs within 10 to 20 days. Cayenne Chilli reaches full maturity within 70 to 110 days.
