Chilli — Jalapeño seeds
Jalapeño Chilli is a popular, medium-heat chilli that is commonly used in Mexican cuisine. Jalapeño Chilli plants can stand between 60 to 90cm tall and produce a rounded tip, thick-walled chilli. Jalapeño Chilis begin deep-green and turn red when ripe. Fruit can be eaten green or red. Heat increases as the chilli ripens and turns red. If well cared for, Jalapeño Chilli plants can produce fruit for 4 to 6 months during the chilli growing season. Harvest the chilis as required. This chilli variety sits between 3,500 and 8,000 Scoville Heat Units.

Leave 40 to 60cm between transplanted seedlings or seeds, and approximately 80 to 100cm between rows of Jalapeño Chilli. Germination occurs within 10 to 20 days.
